Detection of Buried Assets Using Drone Apparatus.

UTTO Inc. is pleased to announce the grant of US Patent Application 20170108609

This patent describes how unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) are used for detecting and mapping buried assets. Hardware includes a chassis, a global navigation receiver and an electromagnetic locator device.  A processing module for receiving a buffer zone corresponding to a particular buried assets geographic location, navigating towards the buffer zone and executing a detection process for storing a plurality of buried asset data points, marking the position of the buried asset and then transmitting the buried asset data points to a remote server.With UTTO’s technology the world’s utilities and services providers are able to accurately index their underground assets, improve safety while reducing damages and improving productivity. The grant of the patent provides further recognition of the quality of the innovation being carried out by UTTO’s development team.
